Judge's comments: Creative open to the show. Stories are engaged in the community and go beyond just what’s happening on one campus, in one school, or on one team. Nice understanding of the issues going on outside of the school room and nice presentation.
Judge's comments: One of the best overall productions among the applicants. Very good local focus in the stories, and very good work on the interviews.
Judge's comments: Very focused on the school community. Great job by the show host. Loved the way the school campus was used in the stories. Pieces moved, transitions worked well. There was both a pacing and a good deal of information conveyed in this newscast.
Judge's comments: Bi-monthly show, sets up the pieces very well. You know what’s coming from the top of the show. Nice, clean writing, and then a cool introduction to the newscast. Good job with the pieces, and a willingness to tackle difficult subjects.
Judge's comments: Very good use of b-roll, good interviews, very good editing and a good range of stories in the newscast. Well constructed pieces, nicely edited together. Impressive to see the smoking piece. Very maturely handled. 2009 NSPA Broadcast Pacemaker Finalists
