Cris, 2/10/2006, 12:42:46 PM

I'm not sure if I'm asking to much but is it possible to build and edtitable text/form field in InDesign and export it to a pdf.

Not sure--you can add multimedia elements to InDesign files, so I don't see why not. I would check your manual or help files to be sure.

I do know that Adobe Acrobat Professional is what most people use to do what you're talking about. PDF is Acrobat's native format, so no need to export, just save.

What you can do is go to "file" to "export" and save as a pdf file if you have the creative suite because it comes with Acrobat. then , open Adobe live cycle Designer and open the pdf. Designer allows you to quickly define editable regions on the pdf. Then people can fill out the form and print or email it. Unfortunately, they will not be able to save it unless they too have Acrobat (not just reader).
