janie, 12/29/2005, 4:08:52 PM

Any ideas on involving 5th and 6th
graders to assist in producing a year book with parental help ?

For sure get a few digital cameras that they can carry around for events. Pictures are the heart of a yearbook, so you will want lots to choose from.

also, check into Lifetouch or whoever does your school photos. sometimes they do yearbooks in conjuction with their school pics. They can be a good resource for you.

another option is to contact Walsworht, Herff Jones, Taylor and/or Josten's if you want to go all out on a fancy yearbook. It's probably too late for this year, but they are great resources and will provide all kinds of help for you --of course it is at a price--a pricey yearbook.

good luck
