Deadlines

I'm sure my staff is not alone in fondly regarding deadlines as a joke. How does everyone deal with this age-old headache?

Reduce the grade, have student and then parent conferences; if no change, replace the staff member with someone who will meet deadlines. Dont' allow these members to apply for Quill and Scroll, enter contests, go to convention.

In other words, get tough.

my response would be require all of them to be present at layout nights. require later nights for articles taht arent turned in. so, the consequence would be less homework done until the paper is handed in. if they dont show up to press nights, lower their grades.
