ACP ForumsThis is an archived ACP Forums thread. Paying section editors Charles McKenzie, 4/6/2006, 4:03:22 PM I've been asked to benchmark other student newspapers to see what they are paying their section editors, if anything. When I took over as adviser of the student newspaper, I was surprised to find our editor receives only $6,000 per year, and our assistant editor makes about half of that. Other than the editor and assistant editor, only the ad manager gets paid (10 percent). We are able to keep some of our ad revenue, but we cannot use it to pay our students.
