Anniversary celebrations

Our campus paper will celebrate its 90th anniversary in April. Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do to commemorate the event?

When our campus paper had a 30th anniversary last year, we ran a special section with the mastheads over the years. Inside we had an indepth piece about the history of the newspaper, which began after another paper left the campus. We also had profiles of some successful alumni and things like that. The business department sold ads from local businesses congratulating the paper.

But 90 years is a huge celebration. Congratulations!

I like the idea of the mastheads over the years. What might be fun is to have a summary of what was happening on-campus the year the newspaper was founded (i.e. how much was tuition? how many students were enrolled?), and maybe the big news stories in the world.

Definitely, though, congratulations are in order on your 90th! Here's hoping the 100th is even better!

We celebrated our 75th Anniversary in 2003. We included several images and quotes from former advisers.
