Crossword Puzzles

Do any of you run crossword puzzles? If so, do you subscribe (do you have a recommendation of a good provider?) or do you make them yourselves (which program do you use)?

We've been making our own crossworrds for about a year now using Eclipse Crossword. It is free for educational uses

We use KRT Campus (at a cost of about $300 per year). They offer a lot of infographics as well along with political cartoons. Overall, the service is really nice to have for emergencies.

Justin -- can you just import the Eclipse Crossword into Quark or InDesign, or how does that work?

Just a suggestion for those who make their own crossword puzzles. Our newspaper (The Bulletin--Emporia State University) uses a program to create our own crosswords. Since the crosswords can use any words and be on any topic we sell sponsorships to our advertisers. We sell the sponsorships at a highly discounted price from our display ad rates. The business gets their logo above the crossword and the crossword is created with terms pertaining to the business or industry. Just a suggestion if anyone's needing a little extra ad revenue.
