ACP ForumsThis is an archived ACP Forums thread. IBSN numbers from the bookstore Rhonda Freeland, Editor-in-Chief, TCC Times, 11/15/2004, 3:12:15 PM With online book buying becoming easier and more cost effective for the student, our bookstore has stopped allowing students to look at the books they need prior to buying them by removing the books from plain view and then shrink wrapping them and putting a sticker of the ISBN number on the back of the book. They also state there is a no refund policy once the materials are purchased. Doesn't this violate the FOI act since the college is a public institution as well as consumer law. We are located in VA. I am not sure where to look to start builing a case to make the college and the bookstore release ISBN information. Thanks. ResponsesStephen Yeargin, Editor - The Pacer, 11/20/2004, 11:54:52 PM |
